My kids Sino and Liby always love to explore Science through experiments.

Both like to do a lot of hands on activities, so we make lot of models and experiment everything as a part of learning.

This blog is created to showcase our models and projects which we did with simple household materials on various occasions.

Painting on Glass

In our Messykids center Glass Painting is a very popular craft among the kids. Almost every kid enjoys doing it.   Glass painting is a lot of fun.  You can paint so many different things using glass paints. These pictures are some of the art works done by our kids.

Glass paints are not only used for making decorative wall arts and frames.  You can use them to make calendars, vases, lamps, trays and more. Glass painting (and stain glass) is also great for revamping old and simple items. Glass painting is also a fun way to be creative with your kids.
Nowadays glass painting is gaining a lot of popularity due to the availability of the materials and the ease with which it can be done. Glass painting looks beautiful when light or any illumination passes through the transparent medium, the results are simply amazing.

Our kids did a lot of glass painting designs  on various surfaces too like OHP sheets that give a transparent look. The colours available today are vibrant and give you the look that is desired.

Cotton can also be used to wipe off the wet paint or outliner in case of a mistake. The most common and easiest glass paintings designs are that of peacocks, floral and marine life. These days stencils are also available, so if you are not too confident about your drawing, you can use them.
So for the beginning stage while you want to practice and in Glass painting there is an easy way without using actual GLASS ! you can use ohp sheets.
